Yeah, Asterisk I think would be more than capable of doing that. It'll
need some work to glue it all together. A lot of this would be written
as an AGI script, and PHP or so for the webpage part of it.
Sounds fun!

We currently have an application used by the trucking industry to find
freight to move. Now, the trucker does a search around Boston (for example)

who has the freight, the company may say, sorry, someone just booked that so

buy.com and froogle they all list the itme in stock on the site there
is really no need for a $30k a year operator to read it for the

Hi all.
Is it possible to make all the queue stuff (pre-pick up,

If there is one available, just ring the member while the external

There is nothing canned that does this. You need to break the problem down
into sections and implement each section. Elmar's already broken it down for

Yes, its possible and not too difficult. You can start here to see what
you can do with Call Files:

And a simple example of this in action is the perl wake up call application:

Yes, you could do that with Asterisk and Cepstral/Festival.

I'm wondering if the following is possible with asterisk...
What i'm trying to do is find a program or a solution that can help me set

the program should call a person asking them if the following time is suitable

I'd like to setup my Asterisk box to receive a call on the incoming POTS
line and immediately redirect back out to connect to another phone number.
Im thinking I could use either the threeway feature of that POTS line, or a
second POTS connected to a different FXO card. Does ANYONE know if this is

"WhoEver" to "WhatEver" on the assistants phone.

I can't help you
The hardware we are planning to use
is:
Micronet SP5050 FXO Gateway
http://www.micronet.com.tw/Products/VoIP/SP5050.asp
Micronet SP5100 IP Phone
http://www.micronet.com.tw/Products/VoIP/SP5100.asp
We are hoping to use this hardware along with
AsteriskPBX to replace our aging PBX system.
