If you just want to trigger "click2dial" you can use SIPTAPI. (make sure
to specify type=friend in sip.conf for this account)

If you have an open-source application to share with us, why not share it
here?
If it's a commercial application, maybe it would be better to contact

It does exactly what you are looking for plus some more... Information is

Following up my own thread, I am kicking myself for quickly posting
without doing a bit of research. Apparently (no surprise) this
integration of Outlook and Asterisk is very old news, and there are many
projects out there. Anyone dealt with Thirdlane?

Funny how a topic will come up that you have never dealt with before, and
suddenly it comes up from multiple directions at the same time. I was
recently involved in a meeting where TAPI (which I understand only
vaguely) was proposed as way to link a custom application to Asterisk for
outbound
copy of my patched code (which works for me) if you send me your contact

Does anyone on the list have a recommendation for a TAPI interface to
Asterisk? I have tried all of the ones that Google produced, but have
still not yet found a solution that I can move into production. My
favorite to date is AstTapi, but it dies after five-or-so calls.

Hello,
We are using AstTAPI to make call´s from Outlook and it woks perfect. Our issue
is that it doesn´t work so well with our CRM. Although the TAPI line
initialization is successful, AstTAPI doesn´t report the Phone Number and TAPI
doesn´t know about our extension. Anybody knows how to so

Hi list!
Does anyone know of a TAPI that will work wil a Clipper application (MS
DOS)?
Alternatively I could recompile the lot and run it on a linux box but then
again I would need a TAPI I guess?
I just want click&dial from our CRM app.

A free solution would be to use YAC in conjunction with netcat. A guide is
on the wiki.

I haven't tried identapop, but an alternative is to use netcat along

hi everybody,
wouldn't it be great to have a tapi provider that
works with asterisk?
all we would need is a custum tapi service provider
that uses asterisk's manager functions to play a call between a configured
extension (e.g. your iax/sip/zap phone and a number that you provide using
e.g
SAPI wrapper for Asterisk. If
somebody has JTAPI we could have a large portion of the CTI universe
covered.

creating a TAPI driver for asterisk.
