I think you have caller ID update set to Yes and A2Billing first asks you
to: "Enter your Caller ID number" and then it asks you: "Enter your
destination number" while you mistake both for destination number.

I have tried agi debug before. Actually by debugging I mean
inserting breakpoints and stepping through the code. I have not been

No you won't !!! You just have to copy again the AGI & Web Interface
You don't have to change anything in your configuration files or
in your Database. It should be really fast to do!

I added versioning information (version.release) in the application
(ie agi ./a2billing --version).
It will be more easy to know which version, release you downloaded and
check if a new one is available.
