As long as your connection is uninterrupted, your IP address shouldn't be changing. Your ISP is broken. Also, if you're using DHCP, and you're sending an RENEW request on your lease before your lease expires, you should be getting back the same address. If not, your ISP is violating the DHCP

Chris, Realtime is cool, but it strays way way far from the embedded track of such projects like astlinux and askozia like mentioned below by Darrick/John you really will kill your media in a hurry and your bloating a streamlined system with items that really don't need to be in there for that

My main thoughts were not for the MySQL SERVER to reside on the astlinux Box.. but for the client to reside on the astlinux box so that I could make use of asterisk realtime.. mainly for a hotel environment where im going to need to change contexts that users belong to for call restrictions /
