Dan,
Are you using the geni586 or geni586-serial astlinux image?

Hi, I just found astlinux and am very excited to try it out. I've tried both
the 0.7.0 0.7.1 release install images, and used physdiskwrite.exe to
install to a USB drive. Each time I boot, it freezes as the same point:
sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Sorry - before I get any angry responses. I see a thread from today that
already specifies external usb drives are not supported. Sorry!
If I do have anyone's attention though, would anyone be willing to
help/share how to take the 0.7.1 and upgrade the asterisk part to a newer
version?

Ah, Thanks Darrick.
I'll have to wait till I'm at work tomorrow to try out the current image (on
a PC with an actual HD I can wipe); but wondering if DHCP server TFTP
server are installed? I believe NTPD is from what I read, which I hope I can
use all 3 to provision/configure SIP IP Phones
Dnsmasq handles dhcp and tftp server functionality. You can always boot the iso
version for testing purposes.

Lonnie and all,
Tonight I tried the custom image that you provided. Unfortunately, the symptom
remains virtually the same, with the following error:
udhcpc: SIOCGIFINDEX failed: No such device
Verifying astlinux-0.7-3919.run...
astlinux-0.7-3919.run verified
Root mounted
Custom initrd
Dan,
Thanks for testing, that helps us.
No need to try the SATA hard disk.
