Lonnie and all,

Tonight I tried the custom image that you provided. Unfortunately, the symptom
remains virtually the same, with the following error:

> udhcpc: SIOCGIFINDEX failed: No such device
> Verifying astlinux-0.7-3919.run...
> astlinux-0.7-3919.run verified
> Root mounted
> Custom initrd /mnt/base/os/initrd.img found
> Custom kernel /mnt/root/boot/bzImage found

> Invalid memory segment 0x1ec45000 - 0x1ecaffff
> /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
> /mnt/base/os $

This test used the SATA module but, during prior testing with the 0.7.1
version, the symptom was the same whether using the module or on the actual
SATA drive (Western Digital WD4000KD). If you think it will make any
difference, I can try again tomorrow morning on the SATA hard drive. Beyond
that, I'll need to put this project on the back-burner for a few days. Duty
calls!

Dan

Dan,

Are you using the geni586 or geni586-serial astlinux image?

Lonnie
