Tom, (off-list)
I was able to successfully compile "wan_ec_client". It is enclosed.
Instructions, copy the wan_ec_client.tar.gz file to your astlinux box.
$ tar xzvf wan_ec_client.tar.gz
$ cp wan_ec_client /usr/sbin/
Reboot. Hopefully that will enable your hardware EC... or just unwrap anothe

Lonnie & Gene,
Below is the output you both requested. Since having the problem, I have
modified the rules to replace the hostnames with static IP addresses and added
my internal LAN to the adaptive ban whitelist. Also, although the Soekris box
has multiple interfaces, I am only using the exter

Tom,
While iptables supports hostnames, AstLinux does not at startup since DNS is
not plugged in when the firewall is run at startup. The developers have talked
about this in the past and voted to leave it as is. Though this could be made
to work, there are reasons to stick with numeric addre
Tom,
Your problem is you need Sangoma's "wan_ec_client" command, we we currently
don't include. I will work on that and get back to you.

I am running astlinux-0.7.7 (Asterisk 1.4.40) on a Soekris box behind my ISP's
cable router on my LAN. I am forwarding all SIP & RTP packets from this router
to the external interface of astlinux. All of my phones connect to astlinux
through the external interface of the Soekris box as well. Usi
Lonnie,
I didn't have double quotes around the parameter, which I have since added, but
it didn't help (still have the echo). After examining the console output from
my Soekris box during bootup, it looks like oslec is loading:

David,
If the /mnt/kd/rc.conf.d directory exists, edit the user.conf file in that
directory.
If the /mnt/kd/rc.conf.d directory does-not exists, edit the /mnt/kd/rc.conf
file.

Giovanni,
I updated the system.conf and chan_dahdi.conf as you suggested. Now, when I'm
on a call using one of the FXO lines I issue a "dahdi show channel" command in
asterisk and I can see "Echo Cancellation: 128 taps, currently ON", however, I
still hear an echo on the line. Is the dahdi show

Sangoma A200 w/ FXO ports for my analog calls. I would like to test the OSLEC
echo cancellation because I am experiencing a minor echo problem when using
this board (no echo problems with calls using my SIP provider). After
