This timezone stuff normally just works, but there appears to be a problem with
the Africa/Casablanca zoneinfo file.
A little background...
The timezone files are in "/usr/share/zoneinfo/" directory tree. For example:

# ls -l /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin
-rw-r--r--1 roo

You can't, but I made an effort to cover all timezones with major cities around
the world.

The COUNTRY_CODE variable is only used for WiFi.

Did you set the timezone correctly in the GUI (Network -> Timezone)
And please check /etc/localtime and /etc/TZ (and follow symlinks...)
You need both.

Noticed this as well, not even out of the GUI
It seems the CDR time is in UTC time, even if the box is set to EDT
I THINK it has been this way for some time, though I could be wrong.
All in all though, AstLinux is a great system.
