Tom, The net5501 should work as long as long you are using a geni586 image. The standard 0.6 net5501 image does not contain the 8139too module. Lonnie On Oct 9, 2009, at 11:56 AM, Tom Chadwin wrote: > Thanks, all. Forgot to say that I'm using a net5501. Does this affect > things? > > > > On 9

Thanks, all. Forgot to say that I'm using a net5501. Does this affect things? On 9 Oct 2009, at 17:20, "Lonnie Abelbeck" wrote: > Tom, > > First, from the shell, simply type "modprobe 8139too" and see if it > works. I assume you are using the geni586 build? > > If no errors are shown, uncomme

Tom, That module is present. You can verify by doing 'modprobe 8139too'. In 0.6.7, you would load it by editing the /etc/rc.modules file and uncommenting the 8139too module. Darrick Tom Chadwin wrote: > Hello > > I've just received a new Berofix card. The documentation says: > > "It looks

Hello I've just received a new Berofix card. The documentation says: "It looks like a network card and you don't have to compile or load any additional driver except of the network card driver (8139too for berofix PCI and R8169 for PCIexpress on Linux based systems)." In Astlinux 0.6.7, lspci sh
