Yes its called ofdm restart. Its enabled on some and disabled on others,
depending upon the chipset bugs.

I encountered two papers [1, 2] which claim that the AR5112 and 5213
support message in message mode. This would allow a receiver to
disengage from an ongoing reception, and engage onto a stronger
incoming signal.
Does anyone know if these chipsets indeed support this?
