I just saw your question.Same performance I also experience during my
experiment.
But, as per active research group of ATH9K ,many researcher says "A-MSDU
aggregation yet not supported by ath9k".
But , I am also interested ,if some one give there opinion abt it.

This days I am studying ath9k aggregation source code.
According to observation I found out MPDUs having a different TIDs (means
all type of traffic bundle in one frame irrespective of QoS requirement )
But in case of A-MSDU it consider formation of only similar TIDs.

1]Atheros support ATH9K, Minstrel_Ht and PID rate algorithm.
2] By default it uses ATH9K_RATE_CONTROL algorithm. If for some reason
want to change this you can follow these steps.
a] Go to compat-wireless directory. In config.mk
