Atrpms has new updates to myth dated today. I just updated my Fedora 8 /
Mythtv 0.21 system from atrpms, which also installed an lirc update to
77_cvs20080528.fc8. My system uses a homebrew serial IR connection.
After the update, Mythtv is no longer responding to remote codes. However,

I see the situation with Fedora 8 being different, only because of the
legacy nvidia driver situation. Fedora 9 included a pre-release X server.
As far as I know there still are not legacy Nvidia drivers that work with
Fedora 9.

I ended up installing the driv
"list avail nvidia*' shows updated nvidia-graphics177 packages available,
but "yum update" doesn't install them.
I think it is because the meta pacakge nvidia-graphics is still at version
2:177.80-29 , however nvidia-graphics177 shows version 1:177.82-104.fc10
is available.

I see the F11 nvidia-graphics kmdl for 2.6.30 has is on the repo for 180 and
185 , but not for nvidia-graphics96 . Is there a problem with it, or is it
just not made yet ?

package for the current kernel.
There have been some fast kernel releases in the past few days. Currently
the only kernel for download is 2.6.31.6-166

Just a warning, a standard "yum update" for 0.23 to 0.23.1 for some reason
doesn't upgrade the libmyth* packages, instead it installed the new versions
"for dependancies"
after the upgrade I had to to a "yum remove libmyth*-0.23_*"

I found out the hard way that the mythtv-backend actually DOES need to be
installed on a frontend, because it contains the metadata grabber scripts

but the currently available nvidia-graphics173 kmdl is
kmdl-2.6.34.9-69.fc13
Am I only seeing screwy repos, or did Fedora roll back the kernel ?
