Re: Question about Reaper
I managed to find where to load FXP files. However, reaper doesn't load the file saying that the file is for newer version of the FX.I'm loading Nexus 2 on track 1. Press F to open effect chain. navigate mouse to "+" button and left click. fi
Re: Question about reaper
Rite now with osara, pan is alt and the left/rite arrow keys, track volume is control+shift and up/down arrows.Do you happen to be on Mac? I ditched my mac for windows a month or two ago

Re: Question about reaper
Control shift arrows only works with SWS, alt up and down works no matter what. Another way is control shift P then to volume and tab to adjust the slider or once more to input a value.

Re: Question about reaper
Correction: alt and the arrow keys will make fine adjustment to the selected track. Adding the shift key would apply them to the master track regardless of what else may be selected. This is of the greatest importance, since you can have a ton of tracks all
Re: Question about reaper
Correction: control shift up and down apply to sws. If that plugin is not properly installed who knows what you might actually end up with. Alt and the arrow keys will make fine adjustment to the selected track. Adding the shift key would apply them to the
Re: Question about reaper
Hello,Thanks as of now, yes, I am currently using a mac for this, but I'm planning to use a windows machine with Reaper, which should even work without latency problems, because of a focusrite audio interface. Is there a keystroke similar what you wrote abo
Re: Question about reaper
You do not have to pay every year if you don't want if you own a pro tools perpetual license. I know people who stayed for years in pro tools 12... I have a perpetual license of pro tools, and turned updates off because the plan is too expensive, however i
Re: Question about reaper
@5, yes. Alt left and right arrow will pan left and right respectively. Alternatively, hit control shift P and press down arrow in the combo box to get to the pan parameter. You can adjust it by tabbing in once and hitting left and righ arrow to pan it left and
Re: Question about reaper
Thanks, I think I will be more flexible with Reaper, it doesn't take a minute to start and I think that it doesn't need so much pc power. Yes, I have a perpetual license of Pro Tools, so I'll be flexible with it. I may not update mac os later on,
Re: Question about reaper
Speaking of which, how good is reaper on mac? I do have logic, however I use pro tools more than logic to be honest, I find it easier, but that's just me. In any case, it is best to know more than one daw just in case. But going back to reaper, how accessib
Re: Question about reaper
Thanks for the corrections, that's just what I have been doing, didn't know that it was a shortcut specifically to SWS. Although in my case at least, SWS is pretty essential.Reaper with Osara is very accessible on the mac. Maybe there's some smal
Re: Question about reaper

Re: Question about reaper
I don't mean search for plugins, I mean using vo+f to jump around the plugin interface by searching for the parameter name. Say I want to adjust the attack of a sample, I just go out of the fx list, vo+f, type "attack" and I jump rite to that field
Re: Question about reaper
Oh yes,Some of the plugins have accessibility issues, hell most of pluggins have accessibility issues. But, a bit of 6th sence, and NVDA skills, and it's OCR saves the day.

Re: Question about reaper
Agreed with @17. Honestly, the biggest problem you're going to encounter using reaper is that it's so massive, thus remembering everything is almost entirely impossible. If you do your best to build yourself something of a routine productivity workflo
Re: Question about reaper
Hi,The things with midi controlers never really worked in my case. My midi keyboard, a M-audio Keystation 61, has buttons for play, stop and record, as well as a few buttons to adjust parameters. But no matter where, in Logic, in Pro Tools, these buttons send high
Re: Question about reaper
Anyone on here actually using control surfaces? Like the fader port?Has anyone managed to figure out how to do presets where you can essentially control not only the main mixer, but instrument plugin parameters with the buttons and faders?I could probably do this
Re: Question about reaper
yes. in the parameters list there's a box to filter names.

Re: Question about reaper
@liamGod damn it, of course there is! Lol!I'm losing my mind a little bit from being stuck in this house (no longer going back to dorms in fall), and I haven't been thinking as sharp as I usually do.Thanks for that, DUDE!

Re: Question about reaper
No problem. Honestly It's a feature I forget about as I don't tend tto filter my parameter list very often.
