I don't think your issue should be a stock TP and a tubed preamp versus
a MWTP. The MW has no trace of its old analog section. This has been
replaced with an entirely new analog output stage. If you use a tube
preamp on a stock TP, you will merely send that original analog signal

I really like the sound of my Audio Refinement Complete integrated amp,
however I'm not sure if it is available new any longer so you would
have to look for a used one. Used you should be able to pick one up for
well under $600. This unit is at least worth a listen.

integrated amplifier(USD 949) paired with SF Concertino Domus, its very
musical, lively and clear especially on jazz/classica

Might be worth adding Sugden to that list - these are great with
classical and acoustic.
