just hooked up a new transporter, playing an apple lossless file, and even without an a-b comparison with the cd player, the sound is small, compressed and without nuance. using the rca outputs. i have the transporter volume set to max. the rest of my system is: linn kolector to 2 aktive

I think you need to burn it in continuously for a couple of weeks then do some serious listening. My Transporter has opened up, and extended out if you will. I'm not sure if its just that my Obligatto caps have burned in now as well, so I cant really say. What I do know is compared to my Rega
