I'm not a fan of the Akurate DS (although I quite like the Klimax DS,
despite its extreme expense).
Personally, I've found that the contribution to my enjoyment of a
system on a component by component basis is roughly:
Transport: <5%
DAC: <10%
The rest of the system >85%

Reading this thread with great interest. Most of the equipment
discussed is way out of my financial league, but I can pick up a
Transporter for under £1k now so I am seriously considering it as an
option in my system.
