Setting jive_alsa to 55 enhances the entire sound stage, in my system it is a welcome change. Increasing SPDIF priority is what changes the equation of the music. It enhances certain high frequencies, thereby creating a sense of spaciality and darker background. But as you listen it is fatiguing

have had my Touch for two days now, not running it continously but it is always on. It feel it is quite harsh and hard sounding compared to my Duet and record player (of course). Any experience with this? -- Zombie

I though all you guys would get a kick out of this. We have been testing VortexBox player running on a Sonore VortexBox with 24/384 music using a MSB Signature DAC, which supports 24/384 via USB. It seems to be working well.
