Soundcheck,
I am covered as my Benchmark dac1 has one on input.
one more comment on priorities
I am getting a fantastic sound with the 2 pdflush processes set to fifo
98.
before I just had 155 set to 98 which sounded great, but was
unbalanced, setting 154 to 98 brought the balance back.

Covered!?!?
That you'll know once you've tried several transformers. ;)

One more SPDIF hint.
First of all, just to mention it (again?) , a pulsetransformer for
isolation purposes is a must!!! You should have just one transformer on
the link though. Having two on the link degrades the sound. Make sure
you got a transfomer in place on

*confused* ?
Wanted to try this but Pdflush isn't in the TT file?
try
chrt -f -p 98 154
chrt -f -p 98 155
from the console first, see if it makes a difference

covered as in the dac-1 has 1 on the input, it can be upgraded, but not
ready for that yet.
don't plan any changes downstream of SBT as happy with that side of
things, not state of the art,
How already mentioned, it give you completely beautifully many
possibilities of parameter and priorities one could change; only these
are, really, completely subtly and cause by every other tonal
observations.
Anyway TT 3.0 is an improvement to the standard program: there one sees
the potential

The challenge was to find the right one. ;)
So, which one is the right one ? ;)
I have Buffalo II connected with coax to SBT.

+1 to:
chrt -f -p 98 154
chrt -f -p 98 155
It gives alot more air (3d) to the sound but I don't like the balance
so now I'm trying SBGK total setup from page 48... I will maybe write
more ;-)

haven't tried it with vanilla TT3.0, but it is included in the settings
on page 48, it is delivering the most detail I have heard out of SBT
without being too bright,

If you have a high quality system then the priority mods do make a big
difference and these are free (well you should donate to Soundcheck).
It is just a game for me to see how far it can be taken and so far it
has rewarded me with performance beyond my expectations.

Ah...I had already used your settings on P48 and have to agree, best my

Thought this was something different. :)
thanks.
This will do me till TT4 is released.

the last 3 lines in the priority section should be
chrt -o -p $PRIOIRQ45 $PIDIRQ45 /dev/null 21
chrt -f -p 98 154 /dev/null 21
chrt -f -p 98 155 /dev/null 21
}
try these first

Hi,
for those trying out the priority mods with the changes from yesterday
chrt -f -p 98 154 /dev/null 21
chrt -f -p 98 155 /dev/null 21
I have been trying these with priority 99, seems to have a positive
effect. more presence.
chrt -f -p 99 154
chrt -f -p 99 155

O.Kso I got too curious and gave SBGK's tweaks a shot last night and
listened for several hours. My initial impression was that the music
was very smth but, in fact, had an overall muffled quality to
it.
So before I went back to the orginial TT 3.0 prio settings I added
