the Ref9SE v2 or v1? There is a big difference
between the two.
I agree that preamps will steal a bit of the dymanics.
I also agree with the speaker choice.

I did try the SB3 straight into the Nuforce, nice but it cant match my
current setup. Now with the Transporter straight into the Nuforces
should be very, very good indeed.

heavily modified Teac VRDS10 with a superclock4.
I was wondering if changing the crystal in the SB3 for the superclock4
will improve the sound further. I am not only interested in 44.1KHz not
48KHz.
