understanding is that the T-Amp has some digital circuitry for clocking but it's an analog amp in the sense that it accepts an analog input signal. It does not accept PCM on TOSLINK or coax. I *guessed* that was the intent of the original question... -- joatca SB3, NAD 3020, Mission 762i's

differences were much greater than the CBR. I suppose it makes sense, but until now I believed that VBR was smart enough to know where the differences were getting larger and up the encoding rate. I guess it's not as smart as I thought. -- joatca SB3, NAD 3020, Mission 762i's

to be worth the upgrade (for whatever definition of better you like) what sort of cost are we talking? Is a modern $500 amp significantly better than the 3020? Or is my sound quality limited more by my 762i speakers? -- joatca
