simply let them Idle when not in use.

My requirements for powered speakers for my SBT apart from good SQ are:
1. remote control
2. auto power on/off when (no) sound
Audioengine A5 have 2 but not 1 and A5+ have 1 but not 2, am I right,
A5 owners?
Anybody knows of an alternative?

The speakers are out of reach in the bedroom/kitchen and I keep the
volume on 100% on the SBT.

I know, but they don't have the auto-sleep/wake up feature, am I
correct?

whilst controlling the
touch from my android. Or remember to put them off when I finish. The
remote is needed for occasional volume adjustment. Seems petty but
that's the convenient way I'm used to do it (with my crappy JBL
speakers)

I think this thread should be deleted. The analogy is tasteless and
offensive.

Soundcheck,
With all respect, in your last reply you didn't say anything about the
influence of the OS on the LMS which is feeding the SBT and the
Ethernet cable which connects the 2 devices. That was the original
subject of this thread and you expressed some bold statements about it.

here: This thread is about the OS tweaks
on the SERVER side - LMS, not the PLAYER - TT3.
BTW the gamers are optimizing to increase the speed of the network they

Just for the sake of correct physics - Not electrons travel that fast
in the circuit but the propagating ELMG field (signals) which moves
them. Electrons in a conductor are actually quite slow.
