I do this rarely as it takes too much time and is a bit of faff.
I use a laptop with an external soundcard (Soundblaster) connected to
the audio out of my pre-amp.
In terms of software I use either Groove Mechanic or Audacity.

Reult is that I am delighted with the sound quality with the Touch's
own DAC - certainly better than my previous set-up.
I do agree with an earlier comment that along with other audio
equipment, the Touch needs a week or so to "bed in&quo
When I first started looking at putting my CD collection on HD, I looked
at the Bryson and immediately dismissed it when I found that it used a
lossy file format. That's like putting Jenson Button in a milk float.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes the SB volume control is set to max. It
isn't a big deal but normally (CD/Tuner/turntable) the Naim preamp is
lower for the same output. Maybe the SB Touch output is just a little
lower.
