£ they are hard to beat. In fact in general SQ they are hard
to beat unles you start getting into serious hi-fi territory. With all
due respect they are in a completely different league to the
CA/wharfedale stuff.

Looks like we have mixed views on whether using ting SBS negatively
affects SQ vs using PC SBS then.
Anything I can do to salvage the USB option or should I revert back to
PC solution? Will a longer cable enabling me to place the HDD away from
the other components help?

bitrate up to 32bits in it's DSP
settings. Would this make a difference to sound quality on ripped CD
files if I did this at 24 bits?

certain DAC process word length maybe??(although not sure what this

Think I'll rip a couple of albums using DBpoweramp 24bit settings and
A/B vs 16bit settings over bank holiday..If the wife let's me escape
gardening duties;)
