Thanks JHM731... Your comment allowed me to get the 24/96 output from
the toslink connector to the Lexicon. I did look for that, but assumed
it would have been a system preference as opposed to a utility.
Still cannot seem to get the hi-rez to the transporter though...

Do you have your mini set to output 24/96?
If not, go to: Applications -> Utilities -> Audio MIDI Setup
and you'll find the settings for the digital output.

I have no issues with 24/96 FLAC, that I am creating through Audacity

One reason I have both foramts is to use the m4a files on my ipod. But
I do not really care whether I use the FLAC or iTunes library for
Slim.
I was running into challenges trying to set the music directory up
without using iTunes. I am not a Mac guy by definition, but wanted to

When you say: "do I need to use Apple formats for iTunes usage", are you
trying to load an iPod with iTunes? or are you just interested in
slimserver usage?
Like yourself, I've had problems with 24/96 files and iTunes. As a
result, I'm currently storing my HiRes stuff as .wav's (I'm running XP,
I have recently purchased a Mac Mini to serve as my slim server and have
seemed to run into an issue with 24/96 files, either m4a or AIFF.
First question is, do I need to use Apple formats for iTunes usage?
Secondly, if so is the intel base Mac Mini just incapable of what I am
trying to do?
