The Tivoli stuff is nice, but you're missing the part of the original
post: the active loudspeakers (audioengine A2's). What GVH is really
looking for is a preamp/FM tuner.
I can't suggest one of those, but if you don't mind changing from an
active to as passive speaker, what you're looking for

i have one here as my bedside radio and can thoroughly recommend it.
you could connect a SB3 to the input on the rear and utilise the superb
wee built in speaker of the Tivoli.
just my tuppence worth!.

We often use the FM receiver in our main amp in the living room so I
want FM in the kitchen to 'sync' with it the old fashioned way.
It's not going to be as easy as I thought, I'll need to get an aerial
feed to it from the roof's aerial distribution amplifier and that's
not funny when you've rec
Why not just use the SB for radio? Most commercial stations have an
online stream.

An alternative would be add FM capability to the PC running SC and route
radio through the SC.
Users have used TV Tuner cards or Griffin Radio Shark to do this.

my plan is to make the kitchen our third Squeeze-enabled room. I'm
