I have resurrected my DBX 3 to good effect with FM and the analogue
output from the SB3. I intend to go with a Bryston DAC preamp later
on.

Anne, from what I understand, a SB+ is basically a wireless SqueezeBox

Kinda of like comparing good analog to digital... If you listen to
digital only long enough, and then listen to good vinyl :-) ahh music.

Don't sell your FM tuner - particularly a good one! That would result in
bad karma.
After getting my SB3 to sound acceptable via an external DAC I stopped
using my CD player. I don't remember the last time I had it on. I still
listen to my FM tuner quite a lot however.

He-he, yes, bad karma, know it.
I sold my Nakamichi deck the other day, and the day after the money,
which I put in a drawer, was gone ! The house is being renovated with
new plumbing, so doors are open all day, but who is it ? We will never
know.
Anyway, the problem is that I am not

I have been using SB2/3 with Bryston BP25DA (preamp with built-in DAC)
for a couple of years now and find it a wonderful combination. (Feeding
a Bryston 4B-SST-Watt Puppy 7s)
I also recently purchased a Transporter as a source for a new balanced

Anne - thanks for the reply. A bit OT, I know its all down to personal
choice/taste, have you demoed a Chord Signature Digi Coax?
I look forward to hearing you thoughts once your dac module arrives, I
seem get the feeling you will be somewhat impressed :)
muski - Cheers for doing the overdue
Unfortunately I havent heard the Chord, I have little experience with
dacs actually.
I just ordered the Bryston Add-On because I wish to keep my system
very minimalistic now, I have little space for a lot of boxes.

You will have to wait a little while from an answer from me at least.
I have a Bryston B100 SST and just ordered the DAC option for it.
I will use the equipment in my signature, pluss a Stereovox XV2 digital
cable between the two.
Otherwise, this gives you an idea of the sound from this amplifier
