I agree with Michael's summary, I have a pair of Audio Note P4's,
pushing Esl 63's, much prefer my own DAC which runs a total of eight
PCM1704's.

I use mine in a digital loop. Transporter > Tact RCS 2.2X as
roomcorrection+pre amp > Transporter
I still use the Tact for connections and volumeco
I drive my Monoblocks directly and it sounds beautiful! I had a Sony DSP
as pre-amp before and it absolutely sounded worse in every regard.

mention that you did replace the OP amps in the exit with a "discrete"

Transporter as a "direct to amp" component since I purchased it. I
never felt the sound to be compromised in so doing.

Yes, my system has been setup this way for years now. TP balanced
outputs driving the amps in my ATC speakers (via 13dB passive
attenuators). It's the best sound I've ever had.
