You use splitters to make it possible to connect one output to several
inputs !
Not connect several outputs to one input , this is not a good idea .

Seems a bit of a dim question I know, but never used one of these
before. It just seemed like a neater way to combine these signals.
I have an rca switch box so will use this instead.
