Mine has been on non-stop since I built it (March). Case temperature with SB3 in standby is currently 34c. If your case temperature is in or around this figure then no need to worry. -- Heuer Heuer's Profile:

An option to keep the heat and the power consumption down is to use the AmpSwitch plug-in and a relay to switch the power source from the PowerOne supply and the stock PSU when the system goes into standby. A small cap across the DC lines shoud keep the SB alive during switching. -- Jitterbug
