I do use a good Linear PSU (and cleaned mains supply) with my Squeezebox
and my comments above still apply. I'm beginning to think that the
Benchmark Dac 1 may have been the wrong choice for me and that I should
probably steer away from oversampling DACs and stick to Non-oversampling
Dacs.

yes I replaced a £12k Linn CD12 with an SB2. The CD12 was fantastic - so
is the SB2 (+MF DAC some other bits and pieces - I suppose I replaced
a £12k CDP with about £1,500 of bits - but I'm still in the money
by about £5k after selling the CD12...and there is NO comparison in
