If you get a Transporter, again, you don't need a preamp. For small, pretty, and incredible performance, look at a Nuforce 9.02 or a Bel Canto s300 or even Ref 1000 mono blocs (expensive). If you like a purposefully warmed sound and have very neutral speakers, look at Rowland. The Nuforces

SB3inline attenuatorsChannel Islands monoblocks (or similar) would make a nice compact system, if the SB3 is your only source. If you modded the NAD yourself perhaps you could build a chipamp in an Altoids tin. -- Skunk

That's a nice budget system. I lived with some borrowed CI amps for a bit in a second system -- solid stuff. Dusty is a nice guy and very honest (he'll be the first to tell you not to bother with fancy power cords, for instance). Good prices, too, and they look cute. Skunk;144088 Wrote:
