Just wanted to thanknyou all for the great info. I'll set up my HK
receiver again one day and see of I can tell a difference. If I can

at 8), must say it sounded better to me at high volumes ( I now know
why :) ).
Also, I think my AV amp (pre-outs) looses quality at a certian volume
level that I don't really go over, so it was wonderfull to have loud

When I had the HK hooked up I did indeed use the pre-outs into the ATI
and THOUGHT I heard a bit of degradation in the highs. Maybe not as
much sparkle (now that's an audiophile term) but again the A/B system
was not very easy to

simple attenuators between the SB and your amp.
