a F-type to RCA adapter. I'd like to pick up some RCA compression
fittings at some point. Also would like to try some RG59 to see if I

I have heard this. RG6 has tremendous capacity, its bandwidth can be up
to 1.5 GHz - suitable for satellite signals. About the only drawback I
remember hearing is that it's not very flexible.
I believe the preferred connectors for such an application are by

I too have used the Canare RG6 L5CFB along with their 75 ohm RCA
connectors for an entire home theatre - digital audio, video and analog
audio. Longest analog audio run was in the 30 foot range without any
deleterious effects that my 50 year old ears could hear.
