After ordering a month ago CPC/Farnell have just told me they * NO LONGER SELL the 5V/1.5A * I'm back to square one. As Phil says - I ordered my PSU as I was suffering severe interference with my Naim Tuner. I'll have a look at the DIY instructions - but its probably beyond me... --

I'm dubious about the need with the SB3 though. From what I understand it has linear filters inside anyway unlike the SB2, and I'm sure I read in the manual that you shouldn't use a different PSU as the one supplied is optimum for it anyway. -- deadkenny

You can buy the bits to make a proper one from RS Components but I do not know of any 'off the shelf' items that will make any discernable difference from the standard PSU. Full details on how to make your own (with catalogue numbers) is in the Flame Wars - Power Supply upgrade sticky. --
