After ordering a month ago CPC/Farnell have just told me they
* NO LONGER SELL the 5V/1.5A *
I'm back to square one. As Phil says - I ordered my PSU as I was
suffering severe interference with my Naim Tuner.
I'll have a look at the DIY instructions - but its probably beyond
me...

Why not Farnell's ref 183787 in stock now (5v, 3A), £41.74 ?
Should be better than 1500mA.

Is that one in a case already and we just have to add the powercord? Or
do we have to get a case from somewhere like maplins for it?

No, you will have to find a nice box, to fit a powercord, and a plug
that will go to the Squeezebox.

I'm dubious about the need with the SB3 though.
From what I understand it has linear regulators inside anyway, and I'm
sure I read in the manual that you shouldn't use a different PSU as the
one supplied is optimum for it anyway.
I'd be wary of generalisations in this

From what I understand it has linear filters inside anyway unlike the

There is also a link to one supplied by Farnell or CPC in one of the
threads.
