Hi Phil.If im only running a digital cable 2-3 feet to a dac, would it
really
matter from a audio quality standpoint if i use a aes or just a optical
digital cable?

Nope - that would be fine IME

Would anyone here recommend a line balancing transformer, using the
unbalanced
analog output and placing the unbalanced cables into this transformer
and then
putting balanced cables from the transformer to the inside house amp?
I have no idea if this would work properly or would it degrade the

While this would work, it's not a solution I would recommend, for two

Would this work, leaving the ground connections alone?

I currently am using the Transporter's balanced analog output to feed a
amp
to outside speakers(due to long distance cable run) but i wish to also
use
the Transporter's balanced output for a amp that I use inside the
house.
I switch frequently between the two systems(inside and Outside)
Personally, I would use the AES/EBU output of the TP to drive a long
digital cable to a suitable DAC near your outside amp. Then use the TP
balanced analogue output to your inside amp.
Normally outside systems do not have the absolute highest fidelity
anyway (YMMV).
This is what AES/EBU was
