I have had a Transporter for a couple of years and hear a quiet pop when
resolution changes. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You are not the
only one.

^^^ I regularly switch between various resolutions as I listen and I've
never noticed any popping, though my preamp or directly to my speakers.

The unmodded Transporter also pops slightly when changing resolution. In
usual setups you won't be able to hear it. In my setup going directly
into power amp it's there but I can live with it. I even tried a
friends transporter just to experience the same behaviour.

I just purchased a Transporter with the tube output. I love the sound,
but the unit has a loud pop whenever it switches from normal resolution
to 24/96 or 24/88. It is very annoying, especially since my Duets do
not do this (although they do not play the hi defs natively). Is this
really a

That's really a shame. Mine only does it when I switch from normal to
hi res. Yours does not do this at all?

The standard, official Transporter does not do this. Your unofficially
modded unit may be at fault.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
Touch(wired/XP) - Audiolense 3.3/2.0+INGUZ DRC - MF M1 DAC - Linn 5103
- full
Mine's stock standard and doesn't make any noise switching between files
of differing resolution.

No. The standard Transporter is a very very fine equipment out of the
box. It was way before it's time, and still today it is a fine
player/DAC.
A shame to
