Softsqueeze software can be used instead of a Logitech Receiver.
If that's the case - then instead of trying to re-program the SBT in
order to allow music to flow out of the USB port, can you instead

You can run any of the soft players on a netbook not just SoftSqueeze
but Squeezeplay, Squeezeslave and squeezelite. Depending on OS and
+1 ,but just not with softsqueeze use one of the other softplayers i
suggest squeezelite .
NB ,you will have the usual problems with a pc based solution (that just
works with a squeezebox , that is why have squeezeboxes in the first
place) ,bypassing mixer ensure bitperfect playback etc .
