Kardtoon, it has not been solved.
My solution was to re-rip my CDs into FLAC and delete them from iTunes
and then convert what was left of my iTunes library into FLAC - see
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55209.
My advice is to avoid iTunes like the plague.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but did anyone solve this?
I'm not only hearing crackles/pop on my AAC lossless and purchased
itunes plus tracks (no problem with mp3), the songs won't finish play,
they just skip to the next song without finishing. Sometimes they play
half way through, somethings
Since the upgrade to 7.1, some of us get pops on Rhapsody

I often hear pops and crackles between tracks, but only when I'm playing
a random selection - never any other time.

It's probably a signal that Itunes sends back to it's masters to track
you and knows not to play it aloud. The SB doesn't know this and
play's it. :|

I used to get 'pops' between tracks (apple lossless) ONLY when connected
optically to my ROTEL Pre/Pro. The CO-AX connection thru the ADCOM DAC
was silent between tracks. Since the ADCOM DAC was better anyways,
that's the way it stayed.
I tried briefly the optical into a Musical Fidelity X-DAC,

I too have my whole library converted to apple lossless and, while I

a Tact S2150 XDM (which will replace the 2.0s, the Dac1 and my Bryston

Yes, it is repeatable. However, get this: I reset the Xilinx (however
you spell that) chip (power on, hold down 1) and it got worse.

Re-ripping is not really an option. We're talking about hundreds of
CDs. It does sound like a problem with AAC. You'd think they would
get this one right.

I've been getting this problem intermittently for some time. I thought
before it may have been related to the modified clock in my SB3/DAC.
Hearing other reports, I'm now not so sure. I use WMA Lossless,

OK, lets more on. Seems others with Apple files have seen this. I know
you don't want to re-rip everything so let's think of trying this.

I've noticed that small pops can occur between tracks when using FLAC if
you scan (ffwd/rwnd) through a track. Listening to the same tracks
