My book "Web Service Design Patterns: Java Edition" uses the Axis 1.0

not specifically about the Axis platform, there is considerable usage

in-depth/advanced AXIS topics.

The book is helpful for beginners to get going with AXIS. It is not good for
in-depth information.

I have this book (Axis: The Next Generation of Java SOAP (ISBN: 1861007159) (pub:
Wrox)), and I read through it before I started using Axis at all. It's a pretty good
architecture overview of Axis. I pull it out periodically for reference. It has good
pictures and sequence diagrams of how the
ost to the group if I can
find it's location.

There is a Book called "Java and SOAP" published May 2002 by O'Reilly.
It's covering Apache SOAP and Glue. In my opinion it is well done and it's
a good comparison between both implementations.
But as I said, it's covering Apache SOAP and therefore not much help for
AXIS - it's definately outdated
english is not very
good :-)

There is a book "Building Web Services with Java" (ISBN 0-672-32181-5) that
has a chapter on AXIS. The book itself is well-written.
