Did the probate of Isabel Sousa list the names of any other relatives?
Look on familysearch for the microfilm for the state and county for the time period that you need to see if they have the microfilm for the probate.
Or you could try the superior court for the state and co

I did have the probate now that I remember for Isabel but it only gave her name
as Isabel Sousa. It listed her children that were still living all with the
name of Holmes but nothing else. A cousin I had at the time in Modesto went to
Hanford and got copies of the papers from there. They sold
I belive in the early 1900's (before 1920) if your husband became a
citizen,the wife automatically became a citizen.? I can't remember exactly when
that changed.
