is both in Portuguese and English. It deals more with things like discovery,
settlement & Demographics; Island administration and poli
I suppose it is possible, especially if you are talking about
(significantly) further down their lines, but there is not a large
variety in the number of last names you'll come across in the different
areas.

I found Manoel Silveira de SOUZA AVILA, married in 13/f
While I was in Ponta Delgada in May of this year, there is a shopping
center very close to the hotel we stayed at - Hotel Avenida. There I
purchased the book recommended on this site a while back "Acores, Nine
Islands, One History" for 20 Euros...at the time about $28 USD with the
exchange

Piques. He was a furniture maker/carpenter. My mother told me that her
father, Manuel Borges Giesta was Piques mentor back in the 40's. I'm
