I am trying to find more information on one of my ancestors Captain
Miguel de Souza de Athaide from Graciosa. He was born approximately
1677-1678 on Graciosa i believe, and died in 1764 in Luz, Graciosa.
His wife was Maria de Mello. The church records are somewhat sparse
during this timeperiod
A family member in Lisbon put some info on some of my family members on
Geneall.net and some of the info/surname spellings are incorrect.

from Graciosa. I found his name mentioned in a book, but the book is in
Portuguese. You probably have this information, but i thought I'd share it.

Today I heard about of a Jewish Cemetery in Ponta Delgada, Santa Clara. It
was built in 1840. It has been taken care by a Jewish family of Ponta
Delgada, the Bensaúde family.
