Hello and thank you for hosting this group. I'm enjoying reading the
entries about your ancestors. My ancestors were two brothers from the
Island of Flores. The story goes that they changed their last name to
Norton because a Captain on a ship adopted them or at least took
care of them while
I'm trying to find information on my family's ancestry back to the
Azores. My grandfather is generation 1 (William Vasconcellos). Seems
that they came over as Vasconcellos (two L's), but other spelling
seems to indicate on L. For the US side of the family, I have two
and the Azores side has
