Hi
Are you referring to the Center for Portuguese Cultural Studies (UMD)? The only
source within that site that I can think of that might have such information
would be the death notices published in the Portuguese Journal (the Center has
one of the largest collections of the Portuguese Journals
There are many Portuguese newspapers online. The ones the UMass has are
mainly from the east coast, but a few from California too. Rosemarie and I

Hi,
I have checked the names you listed, but none appear in the data I have. I
will keep checking.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have Rosa Pulgaria born about 1790 probably in Nordeste, Sao Miguel?
She married Manoel Figueria. My DNA says she is my oldest female ancestor.

Thanks, Rick.I wonder about this circumstance. If people are a perfect 37/37 match, I know they can be tested to 67 or 111.What if they are a 67/67 match? Does it say anywhere the probability of which generation they match at? What about 111/111 match, are they brothers? That was very
Hi Peggy
I just replied to your other email.
If you wish to hire Joao Ventura to help with your research, there is a link to
his info and contacts on the Azores GenWeb site:

Good luck and happy hunting!

I found this site helpful for newspaper Obituaries from Fall River
http://www.sailsinc.org/fallriver/research.html#obit It is an index of the
Obits from the Fall River Herald News. If you find the Obit you want I think
the Fall River Library will get you a copy for a small fee or you can go
there
I don't think Joao Ventura can help you with your American research. Why
don't you just post what you know and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Pinheiro, date unknown. They had at least 2 children that I know of.
Hi Deb, correction Maria Inacia was born about 1835-1840!...sorry about
