Hi Lee,
Wow, you are catching on to the crazy handwriting really well now!
The bride is Isabel Silveira Laurenanna.
Groom's parents: Antonio Silveira Euadros (I haven't seen that surname
before. Maybe it's a Sao Jorge island name) and you have the mom right.
Bride's parents: Antonio Silveira J
I just found the marriage record of Jose Machado Lauriano and Isabel

I think I got too excited, I just noticed that Dano's info shows a marriage
date of 1836, which is well before what you are looking for. Jacinto and
Ana married circa 1863 or before, but not likely a whole generation before.
But one never knows.

Given that your ancestors ended up in Maia, perhaps Dan has hit the
jackpot. I have some info after the marriage, so maybe you Dan can give us
the parents of this couple in Lomba da Maia. If you want to send it
privately, that's fine with me.

John,
I remember the work you and Shirley did for me (and appreciated it very
much!) Since I started working in the digital records, I found Anna
Jacinta de Mello's baptismal record. She was born 30 Jan 1835 in Achada.
I also found she had siblings (Maria, Manoel, Roza, and Joze) born from

Liz,
You tested mtDNA and you are batch 496. The mtDNA in batch 495 was rather
large and they are running behind on that batch. No notice was posted for
mtDNA in batch 496 (you can check this on your personal FTDNA page - log in
with your kit number and code that they gave you). Your expected d

Hi Doug,
Of course we don't want to make a mistake in our trees. Mine is perfect! :)
Seriously though, if there is a mistake in my tree, it's probably from some
of my early research when I started out. I did take basic genealogy
classes and was careful, but in thinking back, I probably wasn't a
I just wanted to give new encouragement to everyone to get the Family Finder test through FTDNA.com.For the past couple days I have been researching the ancestry of someone who is projected to be a 4th cousin to my father. And also has the same 4th cousin projection for me.She has ancestors from bo
Hi Mel, I have the same info on the couple that you're researching, including
the missing date & place of marriage - so, I checked another index that I
recorded sometime ago for Nossa Senhora do Rosario, Lomba da Maia. Although, it
may not be the same couple, I do have a marriage of a Manoel Pac
