Just wondering if there is an Americanized/Anglicanized version for the
given name Jacinto/Jacintho? I have a great uncle who was born in Hawaii
and on his birth certificate it lists his given name as Jacintho, but on
other government forms they have it as Justin. Then my GG grandfather's

My grandfather, Jacintho Benevides Souza used Jesse as his anglized name.
I've found that on many of his official documents. In my neck of the woods
(Fall River, MA) this seems to be the common trend but in Hawaii it could be a
different story. Perhaps it's all on how the Americans
