Her name is Escholastica Amelia. The modern form does not have 'H' in the
name. I am guessing the stamp represents a fee paid to register the
marriage. Most people could not afford to pay the fee. It is dated Sept 11
- 1889.

I see the husband as Manuel Rodrigues Fagundes. And, the date of death as 30
Nov 1737.

Just checked CITCEM which gives date as the 21st of Nov. it confirms husband's
name with what I thought I read.

her marriage record with Manual stating that she is the widow of my

I am trying to make out her parents name. I searched through NEPS but
couldn't find information through her name for her
Agueda Barbosa is my 8th great grandmother and Francisco Vieira Goulart
is my 8th great grandfather. I know that they died in Sao Mateus.

The parents' names are not recorded on second marriages. It will only say she's
the widow of someone. At least that's the custom during this time period.
Farther back and the parents' names may not appear even on first marriages.

I just checked my book containing Sao Mateus' records and it only lists births
from 01 Jan 1673. Your Agueda would probably have been born before that based
on when the children from her first marriage were born.
