Cheri, it is "adro" which is the exterior front door are, the "forecourt"

Someone else is going to have to figure out what looks like "airo."

Barnes is not a Portuguese surname. Maybe someone here might know what it
was Anglicized from.
Even if you figure that out though, you need to do more research in the
country to which they immigrated. Graciosa has only 4 freguesias

Hello.I am sifting through the belongings of a relative who passed away
