Yes, you can have multiple Marias. Many times, the first one went by Maria
and the other Marias went by their middle (usually religious) name.

Am I getting cross eyed or is this record saying that the name of the paternal
grandmother is the same as the name of the maternal grandmother? Do you think
the priest goofed? Guess I have to find a marriage record for Maria to find
out for sure.
