When I was in Berlin and Lisbon last January I bought an international plan
from my carrier, AT&T. I did this also when I was in Portugal the summer of
2016.

Two years ago my granddaughter went to Japan as part of her high school
Japanese language class and we just called AT&T and paid for an international

there. I know that text is really the SMS. Will they be able to text each

What's App is a good texting platform and it's free. I use it to keep in
touch with my friend who lives in Spain. Instagram also has free texting
and I use this to keep in touch with my friends in Lisbon.
